Make a heat pack as a gift out of nice fabric and team with a coffee mug, a little box of chocolates, some bubble bath and a sleep mask for an indulgent gift.
Always check the temperature of the pack with your hand before applying to more delicate skin.
Heat for 2 minutes on high in the microwave, placing a glass of water in with it to prevent overheating.
Stitch the end of the bag close to the edge and again 5mm in from the previous line.
Fold under 1cm seam allowance along the open end.
Turn the fabric to the right side and fill with the wheat and lavender.
Stitch 1cm from the pinned edge, leaving one end open.
Fold the fabric lengthwise, right sides together and pin along one short end and the long edge.
Sewing machine (or stitch by hand if you prefer).
Fabric 48cm x 38cm (cord or other thick, textured fabric).
If you have persistent headaches, migraines or joint pain these Heat Packs can bring great relief and they are super easy to make. My Mums loved it and each use the heat packs (or wheat packs) for sore muscles, back pain, headaches and for keeping them warm at night. I put them in box with some tea, a teacup and saucer and a bubble bath. I decided to make them for my Mum and mother-in-law this Mother’s Day. One of the mums here at Stuck on You makes these Heat Packs to sell at the Mother’s Day stall at her kids’ school.
